Two Tone Kitchen ideas...

A trend we’re seeing a lot more of lately is the two tone kitchen. Mixing and matching more than one colour across your kitchen cabinetry is a great way to add interest, accentuate height, create zones or just get around the fact that you can’t decide which one you like best!

Choosing the perfect combination of colours for your kitchen may feel like a challenge, but we can help you come up with a two tone solution that you love - and will suit you down to the ground.

There are so many choices to consider for your new two tone kitchen, but here are a few of our current favourite colour duos, just to get you thinking…

Create a luxe touch with suede tones…

Choosing a couple of beautifully co-ordinating creamy taupe shades is a sure fire recipe for a kitchen space that feels cosy, luxurious and calming. This fabulous example is finished beautifully with the slightly stronger coloured granite worktop and warm wooden elements… all making up a creamy chai latte colour palette that really works.

Nautical blue and white is a nice touch…

Choosing contrasting warm white high kitchen cabinets and dark blue lower level cupboards gives a fresh and airy feel to this space. The wood cladding and brassy accessories add to the nautical vibe and work brilliantly with the natural wood floor.

Step into the dark side…

This dramatic combination of black wall cabinets and green island units makes this a truly statement kitchen. The contrast between the dark tones and bright natural light from the window is fabulous and the addition of touches of copper in the splash back and the rich dark wooden accessories finish it off beautifully.

High contrast and mixed textures…

Everyone loves a pristine white kitchen, but combining a striking white kitchen sideboard and island with rich, dark wood cupboards and stools makes it a whole lot more interesting. Each colour and texture really enhances the other and when you add a soft grey floor and pretty quartz splash back into the mix, the result is fab-u-lous.

Go for a monochrome theme…

Rather than dominating a space, a dark island base unit with a light top can look great. Then bringing a grey tone into the mix for the the wall cabinets showcases their design details whilst allowing them to sit comfortably alongside the other monochrome elements.

Choose earthy tones for a really cosy feel…

Where an entirely terracotta kitchen could be too intense, mixing warm spicy tones with cooler cream allows the richer tones to ‘pop’. This kitchen island with its in-built seating is a fabulous feature and looks great with the striking black wood details and window frame.
